Running Clothes
I'm missing my commute to work, only in the fact that it provided me with at least a couple miles of walking (BART to the office and back) and a short bike ride every day.
So I'm trying to get into a running habit. It's hard as it's not getting light up here until about 7:15 in the morning. It's like I live on the North Pole.
Anyhow:
I look at the Nike sweats with a bit of disdain. They were a gift, and I generally don't buy Nike gear despite my new residence. But I realize I've boycotted them since reading about their labor practices 5-7 years ago, and I have no clue if:
(a) the alternatives are any better. Are my Adidas sweats made my well-paid, pampered laborers? I somehow doubt it.
(b) Nike still has the same labor practices.
I'm sure Tim will have thoughts here, and I'll find myself running in some $200 pair of hand-crafted, vegan sweats.
